Antihistamines are commonly 
used for colds, hayfever, 
seasonal and other allergies 
as well as to prevent motion 
sickness.  Many are available 
OTC.  Most decrease aqueous 
tear production which results in 
contact lens wearing problems
-dryness, blurred vision from lens 
surface drying and corneal staining. 
Mucin production may also be 
decreased.
